Our Young Volunteers Recognised

Throughout our 2016 Local competition season we had a number of young community minded members who helped make the competition run as smoothly as possible. From coaching to refereeing these young adults were vital to the success of the competition in 2016.

At the Highview and MEC end of year award nights held recently the contributions from some of our younger members was officially recognised by school and club.

The Winners of our club volunteer scholarships for 2016 were as follows:

Senior: Lilly Thornton for her incredible progression as a referee this year.

Junior: Bailey Meltion for his contribution to the club as a coach in 2016.

Senior: Claire Ostarcevic for her contribution to the club as coach of the Under 9's over the past 2 years.

Junior: Reed Smith for his numerous contributions to the club throughout 2016 carrying out many duties of a Saturday morning.

Whilst it is not possible for the club to award scholarships to all of our volunteers we would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our other young volunteers for giving up their time to help continuing growing soccer talent here in Maryborough.

On behalf of all at the MSC we thank;

Ricky and Jaclyn Holland for their work as first year referees this year.

Dylin Leist and Micheal Riseley for their efforts in coaching junior sides.

Dylan McMahon for his incredible and continuing contributions to the development of junior players as a coach over the past 3 years.

To Liam Palling who still continues to support our club even though he has progressed to higher competition levels as a referee.

And to all of our linesmen who filled in this year when we were short and to anyone we may have missed.

We look forward to working with you all again in 2017.
