Key Players:

Jets: Hunter Kurzke has taken the Under 12's Competition by storm in 2017, running rampant against opposition defenders to score a total of 16 goals for the season. Kurke may not be the biggest player on the pitch but makes up for that with his incredible touch on the ball and his brilliant footwork which is often paired with some blistering speed off the mark, making him a defenders nightmare. If Hunter receives the ball in the box, it is likely he will score as he has proved this season that he is a deadly finisher from close range. It's going to be vital to Victory's chances of winning that Kurke isn't given any sight on goals. To do this the team in blue will need to pay close attention to Harrison Kurzke and Bradley Sproull who are often also heavily involved with the teams attacking play.

Nicole Catto has emerged as one of the competitions best defenders and has been a key part of the Jets defensive line throughout 2017 which has been the best in the League by far - Just conceding 11 goals for the entire season. Scoring against the Jets is a difficult task but the Victory will find it even more difficult to find the back of the net if they don't play the ball wide and try to draw the play away from Catto.

Dylan flood has established himself as a very important player for the Victory due to his incredible versatility. In what is his first season playing the world game, Dylan has already developed some terrific skills and game sense. Flood has one of the best free-kick techniques in the Under 12's Competition and with this comes the ability to play a sweeping role behind the midfield and clear the ball not only to relieve pressure on his defenders but to also launch his side into counter attack. Dylan has also proved himself as a very capable keeper who likes to come off his line to attack the ball and pressure forwards into making mistakes. His versatility is going to cause some headaches for the Jets coaching team but will give Victory coach, Tim MacDonell a few more tricks to store up his sleeve to change the momentum of the match.

Shenea Hunt and Erin Holland have really built a solid defensive partnership throughout the 2017 season and this will be crucial if the Victory are able to shut out the free-scoring Jets outfit. Hunt is one defender who always seems to be there just as a Striker thinks they have broken through on goal, she always gives 100% and is regarded as one of the hardest working players in the Under 12's. Holland has plentiful experience and uses that to keep her backline together and working as a Unit. Her on field communication will be key to ensuring no gaps are left in the defensive line for the Jets to exploit.

On the coaching scene:

First year coach Matt Bundy has had a dream season to kick off his coaching career, however faces the challenge of coming up against the experienced and most knowledageble Tim Macdonell who has years of experience playing football right across the state behind him. MacDonell is well regarded as one of the best soccer minds in Maryborough. The challenge for Bundy will be if he can keep his team cool and calm under pressure from the Victory, pressure the Jets won't be used to given their near perfect season.

Its shaping up to be a cracking contest! Make sure you get to the ground and show your full support!
